Nu har vi på Fysiolabbet glädjen att välkomna ännu en Ostropat specialiserad på stress, nacke och traumaskador. Hazel kommer från England och är flitigt anlitad av sjukhus, elittränare och som expertrådgivare inom träning och elitidrott. Hazel utbildar också på Osteopathögskolan i Helsingfors, Stockholm och London.

Hazel studied Natural Sciences at Cambridge University, specialising in neuropsychology before training as an osteopath at the British College of Osteopathy in London. She has over 15 years’ experience treating patients and specialises in the treatment of spinal, neck and shoulder pain and tensions with a particular interest in how the body and mind interact and respond to pain, stress and tension. Her background in neuropsychology and training in analysing stress-recovery responses make the perfect compliment to her osteopathic skills.
Her patients come from a wide range of situations: office and work-related aches and pains, elite and amateur sports persons, post-surgical, preventative, recurrent niggles or injuries and those concerned about long term function or posture or general wellbeing. With her supreme background knowledge and unique blend of skills, she is very popular with patients and regularly sees patients who have not been successful seeking treatment elsewhere.
Hazel works with other specialists where appropriate and will consider all relevant factors to achieve the best outcome with patients: getting them back to what they want to do and enjoy doing. She applies the most effective treatments based on the latest knowledge and evidence with the patient at the centre: their goals and needs are at the heart of any plan. One of her key aims is to clearly explain and get patients understanding what is going on so that they can best look after themselves long term, thereby reducing the risk of injury recurrence.
Hazel lectures regularly in Europe and the UK, sharing knowledge to both trainee and experienced osteopaths, physiotherapists, pilates and yoga instructors. She has worked in high level sport treating many elite athletes and was Osteopath at the London Olympic and Paralympic Games 2012, Osteopath to female Barbarian rugby team and Wasps womens’ rugby team in London. She is a member of both the Swedish Osteopath Association and General Osteopathic Council in UK that regulates the osteopathic profession.
Herself, Hazel loves being outdoors and active. She has always been sporty and played field hockey to international level before injury cut her career short, something that inspired her to excel academically and pursue her interest in the body and mind.
